I got the idea of “Wanna Shine” when I randomly met my idol Andre 3000 backstage at a festival we both were performing at. That moment I knew anything was possible through music and I wasn’t as far away from my dreams as I once thought. My producer Joshua Nicholson and I wanted to capture that feeling of not knowing what was around the corner but being excited for it.
